Everyone knows the strong smell of chlorinated water. Chlorine, used for disinfecting, has an unpleasant odor, but when bonded to sodium, it forms sodium chloride (salt, or NaCl) which is a different substance and has no odor. Here's how we measured the effectiveness of our product in counteracting body odors. Human sweat odor can be detected at 2 ppm, and is strongly unpleasant at 8 ppm.
